Free services from Google drain your phone's battery and threaten your privacy!

Sometimes phone batteries run out quickly even though the device is not used for long periods of the day, and this causes inconvenience for users! But when you know the reason, you will reduce the drain on your phone’s battery.

There are three applications that play a major role in that consumption, and they are:

Google Play

This application works even if the phone is not opened, and it works to contact Google in order to update the applications on your phone and make them work properly, and you can disable it from the settings.

Google application

The Google app knows a lot of your data, and it can be disabled on some devices by going to Settings >> Applications >> Google App >> the Turn off option if available.

Google Maps

Google Maps intentionally uses GPS, which causes your battery to drain more quickly. You can activate Google Maps' battery saving mode by going to:

Settings >> Location option >> Mode option >> Battery saving mode.
